What Is Model Of The World?
Model Of The World (MOTW) refers to our internal model of the external world. It is a mental map that serves to help us make sense of our surroundings and navigate reality.
How You Create Your Model Of The World
Your brain is ultimately designed to keep you alive so it does two things: it predicts and it protects. It predicts what’s going to happen in your environment (based on past experiences) and then it initiates behaviours to protect you.
Consequently, your brain is constantly making associations about what leads to pain and what leads to pleasure ― known as the Pain-Pleasure Principle. These associations form beliefs which ultimately create your Model Of The World.
It’s important to point out that these beliefs aren’t necessarily facts of our experiences, but interpretations of our experiences. In other words they are not based on an objective view of reality but rather our own subjective view of reality.
The First Step To Transformation
We all have a Model Of The World, but each of our models is unique as determined by our own unique experiences and our own unique perceptions of reality.
Therefore, in order to influence our own behaviour, we first need to gain an understanding of our MOTW. Alternatively, in order to influence someone else’s behaviour, we first need to understand their MOTW.

Intelligence is the ability to refine the beliefs that form your MOTW as a result of new information so that they align with the truth of how reality operates, moving you from ignorance to knowledge ― this is what it means to “seek truth.”

Success in anything is about doing the right things at the right time in the right way. Therefore, the more accurately your beliefs reflect reality, the more effectively you can navigate reality and achieve your goals and the life you desire.
